Belonging...

Each morning I wrap myself in a cloak of Belonging.
A cloak woven
Of gorse blooms and faery forts,
Sea sunlight dripping unto hazel groves,
Rolling green fields of Ancient Forests,
With bellies of speckled quartz { in moonlight }
May this cloak guide me in rhythmic reverence for another day of Living in Memory.

If I was to give a title to the past year, I would call it the Great Descent. For I began this year with bright, vast dreams & high expectations, little did I know Life had different plans for me! Full of wild twists & turns, complete surrender, wide open wonder, compression of fear, and so much magick through each threshold. One of my greatest lessons from the Descent: to relax my body into Belonging and Trust—to allow the energy of the land to flow through me...For in a world so full of compression, we have forgotten the ancient wisdom of our bodies: the great strength in Belonging, the inner wholeness through relaxing and becoming vessels of the earths energy. For all ancient martial arts are based on this principle: to cultivate our strength by relaxing into alignment with the natural forces of Nature: for where there is tension in the body or fear in the mind there is weakness— a boulder blocking the river of Life
